I've been really loving turmeric and have been trying to sneak it into all sorts of dishes, like my Dreamy Turmeric Cashew Sauce. This smoothie is another prime example. The flavors worked really well together and I loved its cheery color, especially on a rainy day in Brooklyn.
Carrot Cake Turmeric Smoothies (makes 2)
- 2 carrots, coarsely chopped for mixer
- 1 banana
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1-1.5" piece of turmeric
- 1/4" piece of ginger
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 ice cubes
Place all ingredients in mixer and blend on high. Enjoy chilled.
